Harper's First Christmas

Eric had to fly the day before we left for Grammas. It was a two day journey with a half point stop at Neenees then turn right around and come back the day after Christmas. Harper was an absolute angel throughout the whole trip. We watched Strawberry Shortcake Christmas over over again. Eric and I could recite every word now. It just so happens to be Harper's favorite dvd in car at present time. We all had a fantastic time. The food was too good and mommy pretty much ate a whole chocolate pie. Harper also got a good fill of puppy time (with peewee pixie and bambi ) which she enjoyed thoroughly!

Harper and Dad night before travels.

love love loves the christmas tree

overflow of gifts gramma went nuts!
Her excitement was mostly for certain items.. pink car, awsome books, my little pony, princess stuff, not the actual opening of the gifts.

Christmas pics

We really wanted to get a nice family christmas photo this year, but so far no luck. Harper was so not in the mood. Daddy tried whispering sweet nothings to her and bribing her with candy. Mommy thought throwing her up in the air might work...Still she was not having any part of it. Out of probably 50 pics only one with no grump and all looking at the camera.

Harper's 1st Thanksgiving

Harper's first Thanksgiving we were able to visit the kids. After Eric got out of work he drove all night and we finally arrived at neenees around 12:30. The weather was beautiful and neenee had a fantastic meal for us.

Lauren is now in love with her little sis affectionately known as "Barper" she pets her and hugs her while Barper stumbles over to smile and pull out her pacifier.
Not the best pic of all, but everyone is looking at the camera at the same time.
So William started this ritual with his dad pre-sisters..A very early trip to the DunkinDonuts for fresh mostly pink or sprinkled donuts every trip up. Now ofcoarse the little girls get to join in on the fun. So the day after Thanksgiving everyone piles in still in pj's for the trip
H completely adores her Daddy
Lauren has this little pink car that Harper thought to be the bees knees. When I took her out for whatever reason she got very upset or if she saw it in passing she reached for it. Very fun but still a little too big girl for her ( no seatbelt).

Harper plays so hard with William and Lauren but fights sleep to the end. Then she'll crash! Oh notice the motrin bottle it's her favorite chew toy.
Harper is really a trooper when shes traveling but her max carseat time before breakdown is 4hrs. This is her pre-breakdown hair style after pulling out bows...kinda looks like that movie "something about mary" hair do

little climbers..

Every M/W/F Harper I and join other moms with little ones and workout for 1 1/2 hrs. The location is a great place for the kids too because it's fresh air along the river with clean rubber padded playgrounds. Well Harper has been really under the weather the past two weeks she's cutting three new teeth at once along with a snotty snotty cold. But today after missing one day this week we went to strollerfit anyway and Harper showed everyone her climbing skills by pulling herself up on the slide to chase her friend Eli up. The two had too much fun laughing at each other and trying not to fall.

Off the charts...

Harper had her 9month check up although she's 9.5 months. She is yet again off the charts for her weight 25.8lbs and in the 90% for height at 29in. Doctor said she is great and no need to worry about her weight. Gotta love those breastfed babies! um and spaghetti:)

Pumpkin or bust! lol

Well today is Halloween and we have been putting off the pumpkin patches because it has been sooo hot. Waiting for cooler weather to make it a fun fall activity. But with no cool weather in sight and Eric in Iraq for a week, I was determined to do a fun pumpkin day with Harper. Starting at the Mall for a party at Build a Bear ...terrible no one showed up, then down to Sarasota to a pumpkin festival that was just a bomb beer a funnel cake galore. So luckily it was in a nice big park. Even though it was hot and sticky we walked the trails and Harper was just happy drinking her thermos of water. When we got home mommy ate lots of corn candy and called it a day.

Finally I win!

So lil punky has this mommy up everynight. If I'm not asleep I'm waiting to be woke up. As you all know Harper is still in our bed. Which would not be bothersome if she actually slept, but she does not. Today after many months of no sleep I decided to let her "cry it out" in her crib of all places. So after a long crying battle she finally lost and I win! Although I'm afraid it is just the battle and not the war...

Fiffer 1

We went to the Ga state fair to have something for the kids to do. William really wanted to win a gold fish, so he got his gold fish. When Eric and I looked at it we looked at each other and said "how about we name it dead" and William said no let's name it Fiffer one. Um Ok!?? We explained to him that fair fish only live for a few minutes and not to be upset if he dies later. At neenees we put Fiffer one in a bowl and he perked rt up. Unfortunately he didn't make it through the night. Poor Fiffer one...

Harper has such a wonderful time with her big bro and sis. William always gives her big squeezes and Lauren is becoming more fond of her. She even let Harper hold her hand. Lauren was also quick to say " Jjjngr (ginger) Barper (harper) and point when Harper started crawling away from the crowd. The three chalk drawings are pretty much a common playtime event at neenees but Harper was part of the fun this time. William bunny ears, Lauren elephant ears, and Harper antlers.

Harper had her first plane ride, and she did great. The only complaint was she didnt sleep until the descent into LEX. Papaw and Mimi left the car at the airport for us to drive to their house, and she got to sit facing forward too. Big Trip!!!

Harper's aunt Natalie has lots of toys and this mommy does not approve of Harper riding any of them. But I reluctantly caved and she was able to ride the rhino. Against my wishes she also rode the four wheeler, but not the motorcycle. Dad also had a little fun with the John Deere.
So Natalie's husband is an excellent archer. They let us have a try with their bow and arrow. I think we did pretty good. I wooped the target, got a couple of kills and Eric did as well. Unfortunately when I stepped back to 30ft. my shot was not quite as straight and I actually lost a couple of arrows. Oops! not Eric, he is a real "Boggy Boy"!
