CHOCOLATE

The night before Eric left for Iraq we decided to just do a quick casual dinner. Cheesecake Factory is right down the street so that is where we ended. Knowing that giant dessert was in order my meal was light. OOOHHH yeah CHOCOLATE!

Fort Desoto and Busch Gardens

Well we have had a busy couple of weeks. Eric heard of a great beach called Fort Desoto. So we have been spending the last few weekends there. It is about a 45minute drive but well worth it. It is a beautiful nature preserve in St Pete Beach right by Tiera Verde. No alcoholic beverages so no riffraff. Tons on vegetation and creatures. Harper saw her first coral, live starfish, and yukky giant snail. The beach is made up of tiny shells and very coarse sand. So not white but much nicer than the pics look.
This past weekend we did not go because big bro and sis were here. Busch Gardens has the new Sesame Street section so off we went. We were a crazy busy, keeping up with little ones, bunch so not many pics with them. They all had a wonderful time and we were sad to see them leave. Especially Harper she cried!

Harper was not in this water by herself, dad was right next to her. This is just before I saw a shell that I thought was a hermit crab but after moving it around a giant snail popped out. I squealed like a silly girl and it totally freaked her out. She was so upset that I made such a noise and cried hard to get to me and see if I was okay.

Harper says "shwimmin"

She wanted to be buried in the sand

Funny Story..

So while in KY we ate at Cracker Barrel. We actually always eat Cracker Barrel if we are traveling anywhere in the south. Our waitress was pretty young and maybe new not sure. So I ordered an eggbeater omelet with onions, peppers, mushrooms, and spinach. No sides just simple omelet. After she left to put in order she returned and said " Um we're not sure if this is what you were talking about but... um our spinach it's just leaves!" Eric and I looked at each other then I said yes just use the leaves please. We laughed a bit when she left but, then she returned and said " you probably didn't want cheese on that right?" No thank you I replied. Cracker Barrel does have mac n cheese as a side vegetable sooo. The omelet was fine except it had maybe three "leaves" in it. I guess they were scared to put too many

2010 Graduate

Harper's Aunt Natalie graduated from college this past weekend. So we went up for the ceremony and a little family visit.

Dirt here I come!

The whole time we were in Ky Harper was at the front door if she was not outside. She would stand there and go through the list of people in the room (whoever would give in first anyway) and say "soutside" "pool" "shwimmin" "pone". Meaning somebody please take me outside to swim in the pool or see the pony's! Here she is drinking her yogurt. Harper decided that only straws and regular cups will do for her now. No sippy cup for her. Can be messy but only when shes walking not when she drinks.
Papaw and Mimi's back yard is full of Harper's favorites. Number 1 is ofcoarse the horses which she calls "Pone" for pony. She also loves to walk back and forth on paths so the bridge Papaw built in the backyard was a blast. Eric being a true boy himself kicking dirt, climbing big rocks, riding four wheelers etc... Harper wanted to do what dad was doing so she got on top of one of the big rocks too.

It isn't a trip to KY unless you visit Cumberland Falls. It was a beautiful day for a little hiking.

Still it's rare that I slip on a dress and heels so, we always take a pic. With no one to take it this is the best we could do.
Showing mommy her iris at Mammy's house. Yes, that is Bambi in the background she's still alive!

We all know the best toys aren't the ones we expect, here are Harper and cousin Austin in there box.
