HARPAR's my little pony pig birthday extravaganza weekend!

So I made Harper a ' My Little Pony' cake for her 1st birthday. It was not an easy task watching her at the same time. Not only did her pony end up looking like a pig but I actually spelled my own daughter's name wrong. HARPAR can you believe it! I tried to cover it up but gave up after the disappointment of the whole pig thing.
as good as it gets...
On Harper's birthday party morning everyone just played and read stories then all went for a walk before having very anti-climactic party.

We served cake and lunch before heading to Gasparilla Extravaganza parade. Harper was not in the mood since it was nap time. No one ate cake except me and Aunt Crystal. They were all stuffed from there yukky Moes tacos and burritos.
Most of you all are familiar with Billy Bowlegs well Tampa has something called Gasparilla same same except much bigger. UUHHG what a day! we were there a total of 4hrs. which doesn't even pinch the length of the events parades etc.. when we made it to ours seats for the parade we had to wait almost an hour and a half before it began. Three kids sitting in bleachers outside heat not fun. It finally began after the first few floats we decided to start walking to the beginning of the parade closer to the car and stop every few feet to yell for beads. Omy goodness there were probably idk over 100 floats lasted through the evening.

So the end of the parade ( for us anyway) William was super happy that he got a ton of beads, Lauren took a quick nap on the way to the car and Harper just nawed on her fingers fully ready to keep partying.

When all went home Dad and H napped hard..
After Harper woke from her nap we went to a Japanese restaurant for dinner. While waiting to be seated she talked to the goldfish and patted the rock wall.

Eric had a military formal where he accepted an award for 'Pilot of theYear'. It was nice to get dressed up. Harper thoroughly enjoyed all of daddy's medals.
Giving papaw some sweet hugs.
Harper is so proud of herself when she sits on her cushioned toy box lid.
We thought Harper would enjoy playing in a little tent, since she keeps crawling under everything to play. So mommy went to our favorite baby consignment store to see what she could find. In a hurry the first good deal she saw she purchased. Unfortunately the tent is a giant tent not a little one. Ooops! It was not her favorite either so it will have to wait in the closet til she's a big girl and can play with it outside.

Harper has always been hard to get to sleep or stay asleep, but she will do just about anything for her dad these days; including just falling asleep chillin and watching tv.

Harper always enjoys playing on the barstools, but she absolutely wore herself out doing it tonight. It was her little fort..

Harper loves to stand close to the tv. So when we found a chair (which she loves) for her to sit in without being so close to the tv. It quickly became her big girl favorite. It not only keeps her seated but she uses it to walk around, climb, eat on etc...
